In 18 October 2022, BD SENSORS was visited by the 5-member delegation of auditors from the European Space Agency ESA. The main goal of this visit was to get to know and map the company's current competences and capabilities to supply its products and services to the European space technology market.
ESA's long-term strategy is to cooperate only with such companies that have their own strong and highly qualified background and are therefore not largely dependent on many other subcontractors. Therefore, the ESA auditors personally checked the company's current production processes, the quality system, the professional competence of the Space division's employees in key positions, and visited the production facilities used for the implementation of projects for ESA.
The members of the ESA delegation evaluated their mission as successful, stating that the declared competences necessary for the further participation of BD SENSORS in the European space program were convincingly demonstrated. The output of the audit will be an official ESA report for the Department of Space Technologies at the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, which summarizes the current competences of the BD SENSORS company, including recommendations for its further development in the space technology market.
