Today, April 13, 2023, at 1:45 p.m., the European mission to Jupiter and its moons (Ganymede, Callisto, Europa), known by the abbreviation JUICE, will start and launch. It will be the very first mission to this planet. One of the main tasks is to verify if life exists on these icy moons. Data collection is planned for 8 years, until 2031.
Our company participated in this mission as a subcontractor. We have manufactured and successfully delivered the APME control unit for the antenna pointing mechanism of this satellite (abbreviated as Antenna Pointing Mechanism Electronics).
You can watch the launch of the rocket at this link:

Thanks to the success of this delivery for the JUICE mission (and previously also for the SOLAR ORBITER mission), BD SENSORS significantly strengthened its own "Space Heritage", which enabled us to win other large space contracts - especially IHAB, NOVACOM, U10K, etc.
The successful delivery of the APME unit also proved that our team of space engineers and workers is among the leading and recognized experts of the European format and we are very proud of it!
Let's all keep our fingers crossed for a successful launch of the rocket!
